Cereal Prawn

Ingredients:
  • 600g prawns
  • 1/2 pieces of butter ( what i mean if you buy unsalted/salted butter in rectangular shape you cut half of it )
  • 200-250gr of Corn Flour
  • 50gr of Milk powder
  • 1 egg
  • Minced garlic 3 cloves
  • 250 g of cereal
  • 1 chilli padi chopped ( if you like spicy )
  • 3-4 Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
Directions:

  • Clean prawns, leave the shell on. Wipe dry and season in mixture of salt, pepper, a little sesame oil and a little sugar.
  • Mix the corn flour with the milk powder.
  • Beat the egg.
  • Dip the prawns into the egg.
  • Coat the prawns with the mixture of flour and milk powder.
  • Deep fry the prawns. Leave aside after cooked.
  • In a wok, melt the butter , minced garlic and add in curry leaves and chili padi. Cook till there is aroma.Put in the cereal and stir fry for a while and add the teaspoon of sugar.

Notes :

  1. Buy bigger prawns as they have better taste.
  2. When cooking the cereal, turn to small fire so as not to overcook them.
  3. Milk powder adds a bit of sweetness in the prawns so if you dont have milk powder its ok.
